We are incorporated as a private limited company as Leaf of Life OÜ.
We are not a charity and the Leaf of Life membership is not a donation.
There are many reasons why we chose to incorporate as a company instead of an NGO or charity.
We do not want to rely on large corporate donors and their profits because they bring influence and pressure over decision making that may not be in alignment with our ethos.
We believe it is important to showcase that sustainability and regenerative practices can be considered an economically viable industry through the services sector.
PLC structure puts pressure to ensure outcomes are transparent and can be assessed by all our members.
It allows us to compete and improve through the market forces, to create a better service.

Why We Strive For Transparency
This is our first year launching our membership subscription service, and we have decided right away that transparency is a priority for us and for the success of our projects. We plan to publicize our reports showcasing how much money was earned and how it was spent, however we want to go above and beyond this to prove our on the ground work is truly impactful.
Our goal is to build the necessary infrastructure so that every individual that contributes to our projects can verify their impact themselves. This includes using photos, GPS coordinates and satellite monitoring to try and achieve this. We are not there yet since it is still early days with our projects, but we have managed to start the ball rolling, you can learn more about it here:

We fund our operating costs through our other revenue sources and occasional sponsorships, we do not affiliate with any brands.
